Firstly I would like to say how well the staff at The Clementine Churchill Hospital treated me, however I do have some misgivings about the admin staff for the hospital. I was called to the hospital 8 days before my procedure for pre-operative checks which included blood tests only to be told that I would need to return for a blood test which needed to be taken no more that 7 days before a procedure [ this is a routine requirement ]. As I do not live near the hospital this meant that I needed to arrive at the hospital 2 hours before my book- in time on the day of my procedure to ensure that this could be done. Having had my blood test done because my room was not ready I then had to wait in a cold and draughty waiting area for over an hour until I could be taken to my room. This could have been avoided if the admin team had got my dates correct. My room was basic and clean and the food was passable but nothing special, when I asked for a decaffeinated coffee I was given some coffee sachets and some hot water, not exactly what I was expecting. Also the catering team could not even get a request for a simple sandwich right and I was bought something different as ' someone else had taken my sandwich'. And finally beacause I needed follow up physiotherapy at a different Circle Group Hospital I was told by the Physio team that I would need to do this myself, I was expecting them to make the arrangements for me.

Overall an absolutely faultless service from The Churchill Clementine Hospital.Every department was excellent and I was always left with the feeling that each and every member of staff was determined that I received the best possible care.At no point during my stay and aftercare did I feel that they wanted anything less than perfection.The actual operation carried out by Mr Nakhla was a total success and Richard in the physiotherapy department ensured I was back to full fitness in a remarkably short period of time .Thank you

Excellent care from start to finish

My daughter and I had the pleasure to meet Dr W Hyer for consultation at Clementine Churchill hospital. My daughter has a phobia of needles so any appointments we have had are very challenging to get her to go to hospital in the first place. Dr W Hyer chatted to my daughter calmly and exclusively included her in all aspects of her care. Every conversation was met with a huge smile. Tracey and Louise his secretaries put mummy at ease knowing what was to come. My daughter had an endoscopy at Portland's children's hospital. The whole team were very informative and explained the procedure to my daughter regarding gas and air , as to prepare her for procedure. Everything went smoothly. The staff at Portland's children's hospital that looked after us were very professional and supportive ,nothing was rushed. Post procedure everything was explained. Results promptly received and plan of action going forward already in motion. Suggestions to improve to give even greater care. For us our experience was excellent ,watching your child having any procedure is stressful. My daughter is 14 years old. Going forward she is more confident and less anxious for any further appointments that she may require. Most grateful and thank you to Dr W Hyer and his team's for their continued work and support.

On 29th July I had minimal invasive hip replacement surgery. First class and respectful service by all concerned. Amghad Nakhla a top class Surgeon/consultant performed the operation. Doctor Raj Shah a great Anaesthesit too. All nurses were very caring and respectful. Dionne and Magaret who looked after me during the night need a special mention. As do all staff from reception to physiotherapists. Thank you all

After many many searches for a specialist, many appointments with different consultants for a large fibroid and endometriosis, I finally arrived at Mr. Magdy Nawar at the Clementine Churchill Hospital , a professional, experienced and very kind consultant. From the first consultation I felt that I had to trust him, and practically put my life in his hands. I am saying with all my sincerity that until I got to him, I did not want to consider the idea of ​​surgery, I didn't have the courage to take this step, never! The fact that during the consultation, he was so open with me, that he explained to me what the operation consisted of, showed me the video and was so honest and confident, made me decide to go forward. The operation was a SUCCESS, without complications and it changed my life! I have no words to thank Mr. Magdy Nawar for everything he has done for me! I feel lucky that I was able to reach him and I don't regret that I trusted him to do my surgery.
