I went to southlands yesterday for three wisdom teeth to be removed under general aesthetic. It was my first ever operation so i was very nervous especially as i have anxiety anyway mainly around health things, but the nurses and surgeons and absolutely everyone who took care of me were beyond amazing. they made me feel so much more relaxed and calm and listened to my concerns and done everything they could to make it as smooth as possible. even when i was about to be put to sleep i was relaxed and the lovely surgeon was talking to me and holding my hand. the anesthetist was really lovely and made me feel calm. the nurses that took care of me on the ward were excellent and i couldn’t of asked for anyone better. Jackie and Donna especially stick out to me as they were so lovely. This is an amazing hospital honestly i am so pleased i went here. thank you all so much for being so caring.

This was the best MRI experience I have ever had, thank you so much. The radiology / MRI department in Southlands Hospital, Shoreham, was exceptionally clean. Claire Head, the nurse that talked me through my MRI procedure was so kind, patient and very helpful. It is down to her that I felt very safe and was able to relax enough to have my MRI uninterrupted (by me with the buzzer!) I have had several MRI’s as I have had tia’s and a stroke, before the MRI I was feeling very anxious about it all, even though I had taken a diazepam. Many many thanks to Claire

Had to go in for a particulalry tricky tooth extraction under general anesthetic. I really wasnt looking foward to it. Everyone was really kind and basically put me at ease, or as much as is possible anyway ! Thankyou all.

I visited Southlands Hospital today for an USS of my hands and feet, I was seen early. All staff I encountered both in USS department and in OPD (when I looked lost) were friendly, helpful and professional. I have never been to Southlands before and it was a positive experience- thank you:) Lisa

The care i received in the day surgery ward was superb, the staff from the reception, nurses to consultant and operation team were so caring, kind and professional. I was put at ease and kept informed throughout. You never really get chance to say thankyou so doing it on this platform is the least i can do.

The team that looked after me on 21st April were all caring, helpful and put me at ease. I was having surgery that I was really nervous about. Not having my husband next to me due to covid worried me but I needed have worried as the staff from reception, nurse through to the anesthetist and consultant were lovely. Staff have been through a lot yet they looked after all of us so well. Thank you so much.
