Yesterday I was taken from the out of hours gps (urgent care) to resus with my heart rate falling into the 40’s after a fainting episode at home followed with sickness. The gps were very good and concerned they requested a bed in the a&e department but as soon as they left me, I was left in my wheelchair and wheeled to wait in the red zone. Despite this lady dr who treat me in a&e was very good to me and didn’t want to discharge me without further investigations that could explain a link between all my conditions and symptoms. So they booked me into the AMU this morning unfortunately the AMU could only refer me onto a cardiologist, but there’s a bigger issue. I’m under 3 consultants in separate departments and my skin reactions, heart rate, digestive problems all can trigger at the same time.. but the consultants rarely communicate with each other which is making my life really difficult especially because no one can tell me the cause of any of my conditions or reasons why I become so poorly! My symptoms began in 2021 it’s now half way through 2024 and I still don’t know what the reason is!!!
Everyone was amazing and couldn’t do enough for you
So many reasons staff all worked so hard always busy but caring at the same time very impressed
Friendly and caring. Even though the unit was very busy you weren’t made to feel hurried and the doctor made you feel relaxed and listened too.
Left in A&E for 3 & half hours only to be told there was a 9 hour wait also six drug addicts shouting and using obscene language only to be ignored by your security personnel. , Nothing wrong with them except one person. After that was looked after by AU team who were outstanding and caring.
I was waiting 7 hours and there where stoll 12 people in front of me on the list.
Was seen in a reasonable amount of time great service from all staff involved in my care even though they was very busy they made me feel that my care was important
It was ok after 24 hours in a and e and moved onto a ward but I was discharged to early asnd still having breathing problems at home
Dealt with professionally & quickly.
As with anything to do with rheumatology at DRI my appointment was very useful and helpful. I was given lots of new ideas and a follow up at the hand clinic has already been arranged. Well done to all the people involved. It’s so nice to be able to give positive feedback.
