Since I have been ordering my husbands prescription on line and having it sent to a chemist I have had nothing but trouble. Having to go to the surgery to get part of the prescription every time. This is most annoying as I usually order a week in advance. And have to chase around for part of the order every time. I have even changed chemists as advised by the receptionist in the hope that this would be remedied unfortunately not. The last order was made on the 17th November and went to collect the items on the 23rd November. Well guess what 1 of the items was missing. This is getting beyond a joke. I thought ordering on line was suppose to help the surgery as well as the patient. A very unhappy personi
Shocking. Queued at reception for 10 minutes. Eventually got noticed and explained I was only there to pick up a registration form. Was told to take a ticket and wait in the waiting room. 30 minutes later I my ticket number is called and I get a registration form. The fact that this place takes 40 minutes to hand a few pieces of paper over a counter should set alarm bells ringing. I doubt I'll even bother registering. Used to come here when I was younger and can confirm that it's changed massively for the worse.
The new triage system of seeing a doctor in my opinion works very well.
There has been a couple of times I just needed advice which is so much better to be done over the phone.
I have always been seen when I have had medical emergency either at the surgery or the Doctors come out to me. The Doctors always return my calls and help me to chase hospital results or seek second opinions. They have also been very good in explaining choose and book scheme and allowing me to seek second opinions or choose what specialist I see and at what hospital.
