When you can eventually get an appointment(3 weeks !!)the doctors are usually very good but its the support staff that can be very lax.It does not help when a receptionist starts off a conversation with "I do not care" before thinking again and then giving excuses for my paperwork not being ready as promised forcing me to make a third visit
It is absolutely impossible to get an appt ever online or on the automated service, let alone to try and get one with the same person. The online system never seems to work for repeat prescriptions ordering either. You do not get offered a hub appointment either which is extremely frustrating as a working person with a lifetime disease.
I am disappointed that when booking today i get an appointment to 36 days forward! I am frustrated, I'm having a lump in my body and should be waiting for this amount of time to get to see a doctor. I am a working person, paying my NI payments and taxes, so bringing income to the medical center system. I should get in and keep myself fit as a priority person.
I changed to this surgery over 10 years ago & I have never regretted this decision. I have had extremely good care for a number of issues & been treated with great sensitivity by the doctors. The reception, although busy, are always helpful. Even the locum doctors are good; most recently I say Dr S Elliott who was both kind & easy to deal with. I like that they offer telephone consultations & triage thus cutting down on time wasting for myself & the surgery. I know I am lucky to have such a great GP surgery.
Dr Knights always ensures that I am listened too and that I am very involved in the decision making with regard to the direction my treatment is going in.
The care I recieve from her is always first class.
