I am not a patient that uses the surgery every week but when I do need to see a GP I find it very frustrating that on calling the surgery from 8am to try and get an appointment it took me 50 mins of continuous calls (86 to be exact) before i got through, only to then be held in a queue. I find the receptionists rude and abrupt, I witnessed one poor elderly person being spoken to in a very derogatory way which is totally unacceptable. Once you see the GP if it is an emergency appointment they make it very clear that they want you in and out. The only problem is if you want a pre-bookable appointment within a day or so is is virtually impossible. receptionists need more training and to be more personable. Patients are not there to waste time, they are there because they need some help and support. On many occasions I know of patients who have gone home in tears because of this treatment.

Booking appointment online is very quick and the Triace system makes it easy to see a Doctor on the day.Telephoning for appointment sometimes involve waiting for a while.

I believe we are all too quick in making complaints these days but never take the time to praise care we have received by the NHS. Having rang my GP this morning I received a call back from a Dr Barrowclough, who invited me to attend the surgery straight away. Within half an hour I had had a minor procedure, having it explained clearly to me beforehand. A great example of the NHS at its finest, thankyou!!

Not easy to get appt. especially same day. I f you are not well all you want is to see the Dr of your choice as soon as possible ,this is not always easy.

I do not normally use this branch of the medical centre as I live closer to the Whitefields surgery, but I found this surgery efficient and the receptionists helpful
