Mr Smith fitted my chemo port at Springfield Hopspital following my recent breast cancer diagnosis. He explained the procedure in simple terms and was very understanding of my feelings of being overwhelmed. He put me at ease and I felt in very safe hands. His kindest and the kindest of the team working alongside him made the start of my tough journey easier. Thank you!

5 days post mastopexy and implant exchange review. With the amazing Simon Smith (both times) May 2017 - Under muscle 550cc Harley Medical Group To April 2024 - Under muscle 725cc Springfield Hospital Uplift with donut scars (he is amazing!) Recovery has been incredible. Was down in OR at 0930, out in recovery by 1230, my room by 1330 starving hungry inhaling the most amazing tasting sandwich.. home by 1700h. I had Niven as my anaesthetist this time (Hywell in 2017) who was so lovely, and the most amazing cocktail of drugs. The hospital was wonderful, and even better than the previous. The nurses were funny, kind and caring, and I met Sheena who was also wonderful. Not felt any pain at all, kept topped up on ibuprofen and paracetamol for day 2&3, just forgot how annoying post op anaesthetic bloat is..! Day 1 post op (Friday) had a shower and felt amazing, managed to get a proper look at them and removed the gauze, keeping the bra and binder on for 3 days, but felt even better once that was off. I can feel my nipples, and the lower breast area where the other scars are. There is the most minimal bruising, and obviously under the waterproof dressings there is some marker and blood hence the colour in the photos. I am so so so happy, and really glad Simon was able to go bigger and change the huge gap I had in the middle. I had my last BA in 2017 weighing around 12/13 stone, I then had a 360 body lift & arm lift in 2020, and I’ve got down to 9st2lb so my ribcage was prominent with a huge gap between. Now the pockets have been brought in they are even better. Can’t wait till they fluff!!! I wouldn’t have ever wanted anyone else to look after me again, and he has given me the most incredible results both times. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!

What a wonderful reassuring surgeon Simon Smith is. I was diagnosed in March 2023 with Primary Hyperparathyroidism. This followed a fall when I broke my elbow in July 2021. Following Dexa scans, uptake scans it was discovered I had a possible left parathyroid adenoma. My calcium levels were extremely high. An urgent referral was made to Simon Smith and his team to consult about possible surgery. I was terrified. My initial appointment with Simon was in January 2024 when he explained everything to me regarding my scans and ongoing treatment that was to follow. He suggested surgery as the adenoma was deemed to be quite large. I absorbed all the information given to me, went home, spoke to my family and explained the conversation I had with Simon. I had further blood tests which showed my Vitamin D level to be dangerously low therefore he decided to postpone surgery until my levels went up. Following his advice I started taking Vitamin D and my levels were good enough for surgery to take place on Wednesday March 6th. Prior to surgery I was very nervous, anxious but ready for this horrible thing to be taken away from me. On surgery morning the mood on the ward was so encouraging, there was laughter, all the staff I interacted with on that ward were amazing. There was quite a few awaiting surgery for different reasons. Attention to detail, communication with me was brilliant. I knew what time my surgery would be. I had my puzzle book to keep me occupied. Simon and his team were very engaging, talkative, humorous, which in this situation was very comforting and relaxing. Surgery went as planned and I felt very safe, confident and happy after on the recovery ward. Again staff were brilliant. I cannot recommend Simon highly enough. He is professional, knowledgeable and a very very nice man. If you are lucky enough to be referred to this surgeon be reassured that all areas are covered to enable you to have a very positive experience. I am now six weeks post surgery, feel fantastic and my scar is healing beautifully, hardly showing. In everyday life you meet some fantastic people, I would rate Simon Smith as one of those people, I will be forever grateful. Thank you.

I met with mr Simon smith and expressed my concern with my breast implants which I wanted removed due to chronic back and neck pain and having had them for 16 years, he listened to me and and made me feel completely at ease from the start. He told me exactly what to expect and really listened to me and answered all of my questions. I cannot express how grateful I am to mr smith, I am so much happier now with my new smaller, natural boobs, he has done an outstanding job, I had very large implants we decided to remove them and have an uplift and honestly they look better now than before! My back pain has considerably reduced, my posture and confidence has improved and I wish I had met him and did it years ago! The actual day of surgery was very calm all of the staff at Springfield and mr smiths team were incredible, I felt safe and looked after, the recovery was better and quicker than expected. Anybody else thinking of explanting, just go for it, I am so glad I did, and with this surgeon. Thank you Mr Smith, I am really pleased with my implant removal and uplift, my boobs look great! Thanks for taking such good care of me, keeping me calm, reassured and making me laugh during our consultations, you are awesome!

After wanting a breast reduction since i was around 20 i finally decided to do it 7 years later. I’m 5 weeks post op today & have experienced minimal discomfort throughout recovery. Going with Simon for this huge step was probably the best decision i ever made. I have 2 friends that have also used Simon for the same procedure & both feel exactly the same as me. Every day my body is taking shape more & i find myself thinking more about clothes & swim wear i haven't even thought about since i was about 16, that i’ll now be able to wear again this coming Summer. Simon’s manor is so comforting & reassuring and you can just tell you’re in the most caring & knowledgable hands. My only regret is that i’ve wasted so many years not being able to bare looking in the mirror, which now seems like a distant memory thanks to Simon. I’ll be forever grateful i went with him!
