I have two concerns. The first was the letter I received about my followup appointment after the surgery. It told me to report to the breast unit, and said my breasts would be examined and so on. I know that men sometimes have breast cancer, but I was not one of them and I thought I had been sent a letter intended for someone else. The contents of the letter could be more patient specific, not just a standard departmental letter. Also, the signage to the breast unit is almost no existent. I initially had to ask for directions at reception, and there is little direction en route. Many patients using this unit will be under stress, and don't need to be wondering where to go.
