I have had several operations at Worthing hospital and have been treated very professionally despite the recent challenging times. The staff, who clearly work hard, are to be commended for their professionalism. However my only criticism is the apparent lack of enforcement to the wearing of masks as Covid has started to increase yet again. I appreciate that the wearing of masks cannot be made mandatory and subject to a law currently but believe the hospital could take further action to encourage the wearing of masks. When I visited I could see the availability of masks and sanitiser however there were not enough of these stations. Nine out of 10 people were not wearing masks nor were any of the staff in the corridors. This does not instil confidence especially for patients and visitors that are classed as vulnerable.
