Hospital care is excellent , access is to the hospital on clinic days leaves a lot to be desired. 45 minutes from northern by-pass to the hospital entrance to be dropped off should be improved even ambulances and buses are held in these queues. Pharmacy also needs improving, collection of drugs can take an hour. There seems to be a failure of communication between wards and instruction to pharmacy, in my case I was operated on December 15th in Lichfield day Centre on leaving was told eye drops would be ordered and for me to collect from Lichfield ward on the 19th no one on Lichfield could find the eye prescription or confirm the order, so returned to eye clinic for a prescription to be written and a further hours wait at the pharmacy.
