I had my operation at The Chelmsford via a private medical clinic. On arrival I found that finding the hospital was a little difficult but with luck parking was great and we arrived at around 10am. The staff were lovely and the hospital was incredibly clean. I'd never been in a private hospital before and The Chelmsford definitely lived up to my ideas of one. The theatre was incredibly clean and large spaced. It was surreal seeing a theatre in real life and it was exactly how I thought it would be. Meticulously clean, I cant think of any improvements from the patient perspective. After my op the HCA's and care staff were also wonderful and they kept very close eyes on their patients. I had low blood pressure after the op and they performed extra observations and thoroughly checked me over before I could go home a few hours later. I am of the understanding that The Chelmsford is undergoing a change and will become another hospital in a few months time. In my experience, this is shame and I sincerely hope that the new staff and management give their patients the same level of care I received in my visit. Thanks to everyone at The Chelmsford, and to those that are leaving following the management change, I really wish you very good careers.
