Once again I feel disappointed by the poor admin at Bart's. I travelled all the way from Nottingham and arrived 20 minutes before my appointment. After using the self-check-in, I was sent to clinic 1. Two minutes after arriving I was told I should be at clinic 3. I arrive at clinic 3 and I'm met by a confused face. Apparently, I "show on one system, but not the other". I'm told to sit and wait. Ten minutes pass and I've not heard anything, so I check if I've been found on the system. I'm told I have and I'm next up. Long-story-short, and I'm still waiting an hour and a half later and I'm suddenly informed I now need an ECG first. This isn't on my appointment letter and wasn't mentioned to me previously. I therefore need to wait to have that done before they can fit my holter. In the end, I am there for over 2 hours. This is despite you proudly stating on the screen in front of me that everything is running "on time". I'm now back on the train, heading home, tied and drained. I wish I could say that this was a rare occurrence, however sadly a version of this has happened close to 90% of the appointments I have had at Bart's.
