The whole team were brilliant throughout. I would say that the ward was unstaffed as there was only one nurse. After the surgery I rang my bell and no one came. I needed to go to the toilet so my friend took he. I spoke to a cleaner who got a nurse from another ward who came to say the nurse in my ward was having a break so I would have to wait until she came back! I understand that she needed a break but I had very recently come back from surgery and needed her help. The other thing which wasn’t good was the sandwich that I was offered!! White bread with chicken and mayo but it was an edible. I pound it quite shocking that as someone that had just had surgery that this was the food offered! Apart from that I was treated so well by all members of staff. I was very emotional before and after the surgery and ALL staff were kind caring and showed real affection towards me…
