Lack of information about the likely time of the procedure making it impossible to advise my pick up on when to begin her 2 1/2 hour trip.

Suggested improvements
Better communication with surgeons about the nature of the anesthetic to be administered ward staff assessment a general when I had been advised it as to be a local.
