During a recent admission I was left constantly without medical care and supervision. The number of mistakes made was shocking especially involving drugs. There is no doubt that there were some outstanding nursing staff who went that extra mile.
I have no doubt that a shortage of staff both nursing and medical staff led to my poor experience
.I have had several admissions over the years and I'm afraid things continue to deteriorate. There have been some new wards designed to a high standard but at the end of the day improving the physical accomodation doesn't in anyway mean improved standard of care.
