I felt the admission doctor, Victoria, was patronising and deliberately lied to us after telephoning my daughters doctor, Dr.Winding, with false promises to get us to leave and end the meeting. When it came to it what was promised in the meeting was refused by the Dr Winding 2 days later. We are trying to help our 28 year old daughter as she is very ill and finds it very hard to deal with decisions and the system on her own. She was actually told off by Dr. Winding to get us involved in that meeting, clearly uncomfortable to have someone dare to speak up. We have requested a direct meeting with Dr Winding but oh no, that’s not possible, we probably would have more luck in meeting God himself. In the meantime my daughter has no say in her treatment, all her requests for help with getting back medication that kept her stable before are refused and she is spoken to like the lowest of the low. This has been going on in and out of Cornhill and lot of self harming for nearly 6 months. We, her parents, are exhausted, will she live to see another day? Doctors at Cornhill certainly don’t care and clearly get their sleep at night. Shame on them!!
