I had a wonderful experience giving birth to my son at Peterborough hospital. I was exceptionally worried about the epidural but Andy put my mind at ease and gave me confidence going into surgery. The full team who performed my surgery were wonderful and calmly navigated through a tricky surgery safely delivering my son and keeping me safe too. I put this down to their abundance of experience, calming manner and effective team work. I am so thankful to all those in the surgery that day and for ensuring a cell saver was on hand. The care I received post surgery was superb (thank you Nicole you were an angel to me!) And guidance on breastfeeding (being my first experience of it) was so positive and helpful. My constructive feedback would be that my discharge from the maternity ward was a little disorganised and took hours (being told I would be leaving at lunchtime, then that I couldn't and by evening be told I was going home that night). I would highly recommend Peterborough to anyone and find it to be full of kind people who seem to have a great working relationship with each other which creates a wonderful environment for patients and a high level of care.
