Arrived A&E following head trauma after following downstairs. No head restraints applied, sat in a chair for approx 1 hour, then in cubicle head restraint then applied. Assessment done re if I had any broken bones, head injury not checked. No buzzer provided to call nurse, had to wait until one passed to ask for bedpan. Waited for CT scan for several hours. This was carried out eventually, another hour passed before results given. Then and only then was my head injury looked at, I know that as when restraints removed doctor remarked about the pad applied by ambulance staff. This was approximately 6hours after admission. Wound then cleaned, doctor was to glue this but it did require stitching. I felt the wound should have been attended to much sooner and as I walked from ambulance and sat in a chair for sometime, what was the point of then applying head restraints.
