Derriford Hospital is, for me, a caring and friendly hospital to visit - both as an outpatient and an inpatient. I find it relatively easy to navigate my way around the hospital, and the staff always conduct themselves in a professional, polite, and caring manner. My only complaint about my most recent visit is that there was a lot of grime and dust build-up on the hand driers in the female toilets on the main concourse (Level 6). Also, the cubicles in those toilets are tiny and very difficult to enter and exit.
