Very good new hospital with excellent Consultants. Also plenty of staff on hand (perhaps too many?) some better trained and organised than others. With more time and experience this weakness should be rectified. Otherwise a very good experience apart from the totally ridiculous lack of wine and pork bacon. This is ENGLAND we are in, not Saudi Arabia. My religion likes Pork and we worship Wine. You are amazingly lucky to have Sam Rajaratnam and his brilliant team as they are almost certainly the best and most advanced team in the UK in terms of the art of Knee Replacement or Repair. The whole rather daunting process (from my point of view) was made so much easier due to the Consultant and his team being so totally competent, expert, reassuring and on the top of their profession. No pain, no gain, so the minor pain (normally on a scale of 2 to 6) was well worth the gain of regaining normal movement after 8 years of aggravation.

Suggested improvements
Serve wine and pork bacon and wake up the catering department a little, They fail to take down your order details properly and always deliver the meals ordered either 30 minutes late or 30 minutes early. Very nice people but very poorly trained in terms of the art of catering. Also your admission process needs speeding up. Your group had or should have had ALL of my details on hand before I arrived , so why on earth did I have to go through the same boring and repetitive Name, Rank, Insurance and Serial number nonsense again when I arrived on Monday morning?
