I have been a patient at Charles Clifford Dental Hospital for a lot of years and the treatment I have received has been first class in every way. The students work very hard to ensure they do a good job and the tutors are always there to check all they do and show them the best way to treat the patient. Over the years I have watched the way the hospital has evolved and can honestly say that these days they are certainly moving in the right direction. The tutors are becoming more empathic in their teachings, less abrupt with students who need a little more direction, which in turn helps the students to develop more confidence. The nursing staff are great and always ready to help where they can. If I had to choose one downside of Charles Clifford it would be lack of disabled parking. There is only one parking space at the hospital and although this is a disabled bay very often it is blocked by skips or other maintenance materials. The few ticketed spaces on Wellesley Road in front of the hospital are usually taken up by contractor's vehicles. Parking is in great demand on the streets around the hospital so I always try to ensure I am at least an hour early to hopefully get a space near by, I am disabled and find walking extremely painful at best. More spaces for disabled patients is desperately needed.
