Before I went to Broomfield I was sent their infection control instructions, and had to wash myself all over in disinfectact for several days before going. I was happy with this. They are rightly proud of their low infection record. There's a lovely atmosphere in the hospital, particularly in the Breast Unit. All the staff are smiling and happy to help. There is a super rapport between the people in the Breast Unit - they are a real kind and friendly team, and obviously like each other. This inspires great confidence if you're frightened. My surgeon was super, and the nurses were lovely. Broomfield cares about the details that make up the whole. The food was good. I've already mentioned the hygiene, but the hospital was cleaned by its own in-house team, clad in pride-inspiring uniforms, who had time to take a minute from their busy day to smile and chat. They were obviously managed by people who know how important that is when you're not well. Can't praise you all highly enough.
