I have had excellent service from Richard and continuity of service was very much appreciated. Thank you Richard my latest prescription has made a positive impact.
It is almost impossible to get through on the phone line. Initially almost 2 minutes of your time are wasted by listening to reasons why you won't get any service - phone 999/wait until tomorrow/covid symptoms/we are busy/consultations by phone only - and then your place in the queue. If it's more than 4 - forget it - you will be cut off before they answer - less than 4 you will wait minimum of 15 minutes. You persevere ....you are answered by a receptionist who is almost rude but certainly lacking any empathy who tells you that you will at best get a phone call from a nurse - she can't tell you when - it's assumed your time is not as valuable as theirs. This practice has forgotten that this is a service we pay for - you are not doing us a favour - receptionists are not supposed to be gatekeepers trying to prevent people from seeing the precious doctor. This is a rural area with a fairly low population density and there are a lot of doctors' names displayed outside the practice so why is the service so lamentable? Please - remember that the patient should be at the heart of the service - not the staff.
