Streatham Common Group Practice

I attended the surgery yesterday after leaving an online interview last Monday. After receiving a reply it was impossible to explain my symptoms over the phone. Consequently I was given an appointment that morning. I saw a Doctor who was extremely helpful and quickly diagnosed my problem and put me on a course of medication. When I returned home I received a phone call from the receptionist to ascertain if I had been contacted, to which I replied yes. The service on this occasion has out weighed my expectations. Thank you.
I have been with this practice for nearly 20 years. It has been improving continuously throughout the years. We have to be a bit patient when getting through to make an appointment due to the number of calls they receive and eventually we can get the service we need if we explain clearly the reason for the call. In my experience the reception team has been improving over the years.
The clinical team has always been great. My last visit was about three weeks ago when I had a shoulder pain. The doctor I saw was very caring and took the trouble to listen to me and explained to me how to take care of it. I consider myself fortunate to be with this practice.Even since the pandemic started I have been happy with the care I received. I am more than happy to recommend this practice to anyone.
It is hard to get through on the phone. Long waiting time and when finally connected it is like a lottery who will answer the phone as some of the receptionist are very rude.
Getting an appointment now is impossible.
Before Covid it was hard enough to book an appointment, even online booking was a nightmare. If I succeeded, the GPs (changing all the time) were helpful, but very much pressed with time.
Overall I am since years now disappointed with this surgery. Unfortunately it is impossible to get registered anywhere near.
Streatham Common Group Practice has been my local GP for many years. Although I only go there infrequently, I have always received a good service. Of course, booking an appointment can be a nightmare but I don't think that's their fault(?). It would be nice if they were open 24/7.
