My life was put at risk due to the lack of care and due to its neglagence. I ended up being admitted as an emergancy patient up derriford because they do not care and i ended up needing blood transfusiones many scans and lots more hospital appointments . Very bad experience im lucky to be alive all thanks go to the out of hours team who littraly saved my life!!

I’ve struggled to get an appointment for a smear test. The receptionists refused to make an appointment for me when I was at the surgery and said I need to telephone the surgery to speak to them and they will only take bookings over the phone. At my last appointment it was a rather unpleasant experience. I finally got an appointment for tomorrow and was told that unless I am prepared to have an Assessor in the room to check up on the nurse who is training they will cancel my smear appointment! I had not really planned on having an audience at my smear appointment and they have made me feel extremely uncomfortable and anxious! Is it any wonder why women Avoid smear tests when they are treated so appalling!

Treat patients with the respect and understanding they deserve and don’t make them feel uncomfortable. Offer appointments and make it easy to book! Don’t cancel a patients appointment just because they refuse to have an audience! Whatever happened to patient confidentiality!

Roborough Surgery is generally good. Appointments can be hard to come by for the more popular GPs however if you are happy to wait a week or two and it's non-urgent, you can get one. They have always been able to give me a same day 'emergency' appointment when it's been needed. GPs change a lot. There are a couple of constants though and all of the ones I've seen have been excellent as are the Nurses and HCAs. Sharon is the best at taking blood!
