The surgery staff on many occasions seem to be in total chaos and it seems that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. In my particular case, I have found that they do not come back to you, having promised to do so(this has happened twice in the last week). They also said that I was not able to obtain further medication until my prescription had been reviewed. I arranged for a Doctors appointment to review the prescription, and on attendance I was told that no review was necessary(the consultation lasted approximately 30 seconds). The latest issue is that they are failing to honour the agreement between York Hospital and the GP's to provide a seamless transfer of the blood monitoring procedure(methotrexate patients) by recording the test results in the patients booklet. On occasions they have tried to refer me to Hospital Drs/Consultants in private practice who have not worked privately for many years. There is much more, and in short I am wholly dissatisfied. I have tried to transfer to another practice but it seems this is not possible due to geographical considerations.
