The help and support I received from Pewsey surgery following a visit from the Paramedics to my home, when I had a stroke symptoms, was amazing. Paramedics diagnosed Bells Palsy which still needed urgent medical help via my GP surgery. My sight and hearing at the age of 92 can be a problem so my neighbour contacted the surgery on my behalf and explained I needed an urgent extended time face to face appointment which was arranged for that day with Dr Stuart Daly. He agreed with the diagnoses and contacted several specialist to discuss my issues and confirmation of treatment. He fully explained my condition to me and treatment and said the hospital would be contacting me with an appointment. The Hospital telephoned me the following day with an appointment for that day, which I attended. My experience with Dr Stuart Daly was truly excellent .

My neighbour drove to the surgery to make the appointment in preference to waiting on the phone as she was 10th in the queue.

Appointments currently bring booked for 5 weeks in advance. Consultation is rushed when you do get an appointment. Patients are relying on the out of hours service offered in Swindon, this should not be happening. Incorrect diagnosis/referrals. Service is below satisfactory. The doctors are all lovely, however I can see a steady decline over the 12 years I've been a patient. They're over stretched and in my opinion the surgery is in crisis. I've seem people given over 6 months worth of sick notes over the phone as appointments just are not there. This in turn is creating a number of work capable patients claiming benefits rather than working.

Great staff, clean surgery, but some awful GP's (principally Dr, George).
