Always answer phone calls within a short space of time (rarely more than 3rd in the queue). Excellent treatment, care and always so speedy with referrals and letters from my preferred GP (Dr Bowen-Perkins). ALWAYS get a response or request actioned with e-triage every time usually on the day of submission but ALWAYS before deadline (48hrs for medical and 5 days for admin). I believe this is only available in the mornings to avoid overload of e-triage forms overnight or weekends which is compleletly understandable, plus it gives the afternoons to catch up with all e-triage requests from the morning. People can always ring their request if they are unable to compete a form in the mornings, as I have said calls are answered propmtly. They have an excellent range of appointments, urgent on the day (I’ve rung late in the day and received an on the day appointments), semi-urgent and routine which are about 4-5 weeks, and whatever people say many things can wait that long for routine and for those things that can't wait the on the day appointments exist. They ALWAYS respond to phone calls and ALWAYS call back if they say they will. I have never not had a response form an e-triage or phone calls. Repeat prescriptions have always been completed the day I submit request or the next working if I submit request at the weekend. Best surgery in Chichester.
Despite numerous attempts to get appointments recently for various reasons, I have been left either waiting 3/4+ weeks for an appointment, or without a response at all.
I have made various attempts to gain an appointment for a required review of my mental health medication, supposed to be completed after 6 weeks of starting the treatment for PTSD, however No appointment has been given to me. Instead, the surgery have palmed me off by just re-prescribing my medication without any review or consultation.
I have also made numerous attempts via their e-consult forms to book an appointment regarding numerous lumps/lesions on my skin that have appeared over the last few months and have not even had a response from the surgery to book an appointment. One of the skin abnormalities was observed by a GP at the surgery many months ago, where they looked at it through a device that should determine whether it looked problematic. The GP said to me at the time, if it looks "clear" when I look through the device, it's not a worry. However, they then told me it was not clear, so therefore a concern. I have since developed 5 more lumps/lesions of exactly the same nature, contacted the doctors trying to get a biopsy or referral to dermatology and have not heard anything back.
I am aware the pressure on the NHS and GP surgeries is immense right now. I worked for Public Health for WSCC during the pandemic, and I have been patient because of this. However, i am completely being let down by a surgery I have been with since I was a child and it is totally unacceptable.
Excellent Surgery. Always get an appointment with my preferred GP when needed. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Cannot fault them.
Excellent surgery in every way.
