Dr Joseph Tomson MD FRCP

Title: Consultant Cardiologist Honorary Associate Clinical Professor, UCL Medical School Profile: Dr Tomson is a Consultant Cardiologist with interests in cardiac rhythm management, implantation of Cardiac devices (including pacemakers, defibrillators and resynchronisation therapy), palpitations, dizziness, loss of consciousness (syncope) and atrial fibrillation. Dr Tomson is an expert in managing cardiac problems including palpitations, shortness of breath, blackouts, atrial fibrillation and chest pain. He sub specialises in arrhythmia, cardiac devices and heart failure. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 2019 and is an Honorary associate clinical professor at the UCL Medical School. He qualified in 1999 (MBBS) and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, London) in 2004 and completed higher specialist training in Cardiology (CCT) in 2015. He undertook research at the Cardiovascular research at the Clinical Trials and Statistics Service Unit (CTSU, University of Oxford) and completed his thesis there (MD, 2016).
